Choosing the right word is essential for any writer. This session gives you different ways to think about your word choices, and some guidelines for getting the exact tone you’re looking for.

- Some “fake rules” that you don’t have to follow in good writing
- Best practices for language that may be offensive

Analogy and Storytelling
This week covers two of the most powerful ways to create memorable writing: Analogies and storytelling.
We’ll talk about:
- Using the 5 senses to make your writing more vivid
- Finding and using metaphors to convey deeper levels of meaning
- The components that make up a good story, and how to use them
- Techniques for quick, punchy stories that work well in content
Week Four
Detail and Polish
This week covers how to polish rough draft to a high professional finish.
You’ll learn how to:
- Edit your writing in focused, efficient passes
- Catch the errors that can make writing seem amateurish
- Compile your personal library of essential resources
- Develop an individual editorial process
- Consistently elevate your work to a professional level
